ABOUT US

We are a Colombian calla and hydrangea producer Company, we have been in the market for more than 15 years and we sell our product over 25 countries around the world.

 

We produce our Flowers in our 2 farms located in La Union Antioquia, both of the farms sum approximately 180.000 mts2, and one of the farms is certified with the international Rainforest Alliance stamp.

 

Our Distribution center located in La Ceja Antioquia, gathers all the production from our 2 farms and packs it under the highest quality standards and technologies available.

 

We work in Alliance with Dutch Organizations, searching every day for the improvement of the processes,  we actively participate in international flower shows where we have obtained several "first winning awards" with our wonderful flowers.

History

HISTORY

2002  The company CI LOS AROMAS FARMS LTDA is created by producers of hydrangea and minicalas which delivered their production to the brokers on the east region of Antioquia in order to be exported to international markets.

2006   A big change in the stockholders structure of CI LOS AROMAS FARMS is done its new stockholders dedicate themselves to create new plantations and grow, also they defined a strategic planning for the future of the business.

 

2009  We start expanding the market to wholesalers, in North America, searching for more margin and decreasing the supply chain size, always taking care of our importers, with fully respect for their customers.

 

2010    We buy our most important farm, EL CONDOR, with the desire of planting flowers under the highest quality standards and technologies all the varieties of hydrangeas. Our market expansion continues despite the financial hard times due to the US/COP exchange rate at its lowest levels, and despite the United States economic real state crisis.

2011  We buy a lot of land and build our 1.200 mts distribution center and offices located strategically in La Ceja, right at the entrance of the small town. The distribution Center is designed to have all the inspections, selection, classification and packing of the flowers for our customers with high quality standards and good levels of technology. El Condor Farms starts producing its first flowers.

2012  We begin our operation at the new facility, with great results. Quality improvements and enough room to grow.

 

2013   El CONDOR farm is finally producing, and we start searching how to improve even more the quality of the callas and hydrangeas; lab studies, agricultural research, hydration tests, cold chain management studies, vase life tests by quality control companies, fertilizers techniques, allow us to have a better and longer vase life flowers. We also implemented manipulation and packing techniques that guarantee quality and consistency with defined quality standards for each flower.

 

2014 We begin opening new markets different to USA and Canada, such as Corea Japan, India, China Europe and Middle East. We exhibit for the first time at international shows, which allowed us to have a new point of view of this new markets.

 

2017   We continue the consolidation of this new markets, working in alliance with Dutch flower expert companies in cold chain management and quality control. We designed and CSR route, and we get Rainforest Alliance Certified.

2018  We keep opening and studying new markets, and consolidating our company in Europa and Middle East and Asia, We  also Consolidate SKYY FLORAL FARMS in USA, to attend customers all over the worlds, taking advantage of many connections Miami has to offer as an international transport hub.

2019 We beging our proyect with new varietyes, looking forward to be a company where our worldwide customers can find different colors, textures, types, and high quality hydrangeas. We also started the  transformation of one our farms, to a hight tech farm, importig the latest technologies that the dutch farms use nowadays in fetilization, irrigation,fumigation, wáter treatments substrates and soild manageent...

 

2020 We grew our indoor plantation to 8.000 MTS, and increased the amount of new varieties.

2023 We continue the growth of our plantation of dutch hyds to 10.000 mts, We keep evaluating testing and studying around 30 new codes every year to satisfy the needs of our customers, with better and nicer varieties. We added 300 meters to our distribution center, and double our cold rooms to improve our visión as a whole, and  also set up a higher standar of our vision2025
